A beautiful place in Virginia Part III

"Hello?  Alexander Graham Bell?  No, he's not here right now.  May I take a message?"

Lol.  Today I'll share more pics from my adventures at the cottage in Virginia.  Above is a lovely old phone that I found in one of the upstairs rooms.  I took a chance and uploaded more than 10 pics this time, hopefully these will all show up!

A view looking down into the main room from the landing.  I told you these stairs were steep!

After the landing turns there is another short set of stairs.  This leads into the original upstairs room.

This is the left side of the original upstairs room.  As you can see it all used for storage now.  Lots of treasures here though!

And the right side of the room.

The really fun old phone that I found!

Not quite sure what this is?

A beautiful old trunk.

An old school desk.

An old uniform of some sort.

A close up of the lovely old wagon wheel!

This bed and window where against the far wall behind where the uniform was hanging.

F.B.I. and Dept. of the Interior.  No I did not touch these!  Very interesting - lol!

Here you can see some of the original wall between the upstairs room and part of the cabin that was added on later.

Looking back down the stairs this room was to the right in the newer part of the cabin.  Lots of fun stuff to explore in here as well :)

Another beautiful old phone!

And a view back down the scary steep stairs!  More pics to come including some where my cousin and went exploring the beautiful land around the cabin!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

ohhhh- I love these posts! I love to see inside old buildings. When I was a little girl my Aunt (we called her the crazy aunt-which is strange since that is the title I now hold-lol) used to take us on car rides and she would pull over and explore old abandoned houses. It was always such fun and I never understood at the time why my Mom would get so mad at her when she took us out to do that. I understand now-but back then I thought it was the greatest thing in the world-lol! Wish I had the guts to do it now as an adult :) I can't wait to see more Jessie- these have been such fun posts!

Lol Kim! If you and lived closer we would definitely do some abandoned house searching! There are some great ones around my area :)
