Being inbetween jobs sucks. Especially when you are in a crafty mood. I've been working on Lisa's Country Cottage and I have all of these wonderful plans and ideas that I really want to try out, but no money to buy all of the miniatures that I want. One thing I definitely want is a cute water hose coiled up on the porch. The one above is adorable and comes from http://www.the-doll-house-cafe.com/dollhouse-miniature-garden-hose-faucet-set.html. Until the day comes that I have enough money to buy the truckloads of minis that I want I'll just have to figure out how to make them.
I kept looking at the picture and thinking, "What is that? I know what it is, but I just can't quite see it..."
Duh! It's a jelly bracelet!
And now how do I make all of those other little pieces? This is the part that I'm still working on.
(And would greatly appreciate some ideas if anyone wants to share!)
This is what I've got so far. This jewelry finding looks to me like spinney handle part of a garden faucet.
One end of a jewelry clasp with the metal ring removed looks like the end cap on the hose. I'm not sure how to make the spout part yet.
I removed the metal ring from the other end of the jewelry clasp and snipped off the end, which to me looks like the faucet connector that the hose screws onto. So now how exactly do I make the rest of the pieces and put it all together? I have no idea! I'm going to search through the rest of my jewelry findings and hopefully come up with something. Otherwise I'll have to wait until I can afford to go shopping and hunt for some more findings :)
Happy Monday everyone!

Thanks! And yes, its crazy how much they cost!
good pieces so far-they look perfect! I'm still working on a care package for you so I'll look through my findings and see I can add anything that might work.
