Kreativ Blogger award :)
While I was away from my blog for a while (or out sick I should say) I recieved a blog award from Rachel at
http://miniaturemaid.blogspot.com/. Sorry I am so behind on this - she actually sent this to me back on March 4th!
Since I'm almost a month late in accepting this I will forgo nominating anyone else this one time. One thing I am supposed to do is to list 7 things that nobody knows about me. After thinking about it that is a really hard thing to do! And besides, if nobody knows these 7 secret things there's probably a good reason for it! So I thought it would be easier to list just 7 random facts about me - so here goes!
1. I am an illeist. (5 points to anyone who knows what that means!)
2. I am a coulrophobic. (5 points for this one as well!)
3. I am left-handed. (I used to know a fany word for this one, but it escapes me at the moment)
4. I have 2 turtles (both RES) Herman and Cecil.
5. I have one sibling - a younger sister.
6. I love to write and I have a filing cabinet full of stories (not all finished) that I have written over the years.
7. I love 80's and early 90's cartoons - especially those that were on Nickelodeon.
Well that's all for now - ttyl blogland :)

Healthy Thinking Thursday!
Hello and welcome to another Healthy Thinking Thursday! I hope your day is going well. I don't remember if I ever talked about it or not, but the idea for these posts came from my friend Kim at http://flowerkim.blogspot.com/. Journey over and check out her healthy thinking for today as well.
Today's post is going to be short, but I thought I would show you some of my new motivation. Sorry the pic is so odd - I did this in a hurry as I was getting ready for work this morning. Ignore all of the books and the turtle food on the shelf - the important part is the row of dvds. I borrowed all of these from my sister. From my experience with "The Firm" these should be some great workout videos. I can't afford a gym membership right now so I figured the next best thing would be to workout at home. So my new goal is going to be to start working these dvds into my routine. I'm already doing pretty well on my goal of walking a mile while at work so this should benefit me even more.
Wish me luck!

I won Anna's bead giveaway!
Another good thing that happened to me over the last couple of weeks is that I won Anna's bead giveaway! I was so excited! She sent so many wonderful beads - I never expected her to send so much! I've always wanted to get into beading and I've got a little craft box full of ones that I've collected over the years myself. Now I have no excuse but to get to work!
There's probably a name for these, but I don't know what it is. These are long strands of beads looped together and then all of the strings are tied at the top. The colors are gorgeous!
This bag of treasure was bursting at the seams. There are so may different sizes and styles of beads that the picture really doesn't do them all justice. I told Anna that I had been wanting to make a "walking string" like a friend of mine has at work. She has a length of string with a knot tied on each end and one in the middle. For each lap that she walks at work she slides a bead from one end of the string to the other in order to keep count. The knot in the middle keeps the beads from sliding back.
I call these beads "snow balls" - they large beads covered with very small holeless beads. I fell in love with them when I saw Anna's pictures. I just love the way they sparkle!
Thanks again Anna for such a great giveaway!
Mini gifts from Kim!!!
I want to do a couple posts now to show everyone the wonderful gifts that I received over the last couple of weeks. There's nothing better when you're feeling sick and miserable than to find a surprise in the mail!
Kim sent me these amazing minis that are just perfect for my old west saloon! I was just tickled to death when I saw them :) And even better is that 2 of the pieces are actually on the wish list that I have running down the side of my blog - too perfect!
I love the little tin can of Prince Albert tobacco! My Dad recognized what it was immediately. I don't think you can find the brand itself anymore, but it used to be very popular. Here's a great old poster that I found from the brand.
And I just absolutely adore the pistol! This is my favorite piece and I can't wait to use it in my saloon.
Thanks so much Kim - you are the best!

Healthy Thinking Thursday!
So what are my thoughts for this Thursday? Hmm...first I think this is a lovely picture! I would love to be having a nice workout outdoors today! It's lovely here in Tennessee - and I can only hope that all of the snow is behind us. The only real worry to contend with in my area right now is the traffic - it's time for the spring Nascar race in Bristol. Normally I think there are around 20 - 25 thousand people (or less) in my town and the race brings in upwards of 160 thousand. I'm starting to feel crowded just thinking about it!
On to my healthy thoughts - well I started the day out right because I got 8+ hours of sleep, which is a rare occurrence for me, but I have to admit that I can really feel the difference! And for lunch I had Arby's - roast beef has to be better than a greasy burger, right? I'm hoping to get a few laps in at work and maybe even talk David into going for a walk with me this evening. I'll have to see what other good healthy thoughts come my way throughout the day.
I hope you're having a wonderful Thursday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I hope that everyone out there is enjoying their St. Patty's Day! I hope you didn't get pinched and I hope you did get some green beer!
So anyway, on to the real subject of today's post - just where the hell have I been?! Do you realize that the last time I posted it was Thursday February 25th - I've almost been missing from blogland for 3 straight weeks! Do you know how many posts you can miss in 3 weeks? I'm currently following 67 blogs - sheesh, that's alot of catch-up!
My apologies to everyone who worried about me and my thanks to those of you posted comments here or emailed me. There have been so many things going on. Mostly I've been sick - I really felt it on my last paycheck - only 48 hours for 2 weeks :(
Anyway, enough about my miseries - I'm back and I promise to catch up on my posting. I received some amazing gifts from Kim and Anna that I need to share with everyone and I also got my 5 year anniversary gift from work. There are also 8 new followers so hopefully lots of new blogs to check out! I can't wait to catch up with everyone!
