In need of some mini inspiration please!

So I've got about a million (well not really, but alot!) of these little desiccant things and I'm wondering what to do with them.  They make me think of minis every time I see them so I started collecting them from the pharmacy.  I've looked around pinterest and only found one pin about turning them into a silver teapot by adding a handle and a spout.

The first thing I thought of was little canisters to sit on a kitchen counter.  One for flour, sugar, etc.

So I thought I would see how hard it would be to remove the tiny lid.  One trusty Xacto knife and a few seconds later...

It's written all over not to eat them, so I was also kind of worried about touching the insides, but this is what they look like when opened.

But seriously what dollhouse needs six dozen mini canisters?  And not that I'll have time to play around with my minis until sometime early next year (not to mention the fact that I should be studying instead of posting on my long neglected blog...) but a girl can dream can't she?

I don't have any pics to show you, but what about using them to make little flower pots? Or adding a handle to make a bucket? Or a watering can? Or a mini trash can? Umbrella stand? Bongo drums? Hope these ideas help!!

And obviously the scale may not be right for what you have... But I really like the kitchen canister idea
